Since 1958, Farnsworth Development Company has established a successful tradition of serving seniors through the development of active adult retirement communities in Mesa, Arizona. The Company has decided that its next step is to develop a community where seniors can receive higher levels of care as their needs change. Sites within two Farnsworth active adult communities have been identified for the development of assisted living facilities.

Farnsworth Gardens

Farnsworth Gardens will be a state-of-the-art Continuing Care Retirement Community located in Mesa, Arizona within Farnsworth’s first major retirement community, Dreamland Villa. It is estimated that Farnsworth Gardens will open with approximately 200 apartments for independent living, assisted living, and for those who need memory care assistance. Farnsworth Gardens will have month-to-month rental agreements, modest initial administrative charges and no buy-in fees. Some of the amenities that Farnsworth Gardens will offer its residents will be attractive common areas both inside and outside, a fine dining restaurant and bistro, an exercise facility and pool, a movie theater, and much more.

Sunland Gardens

Sunland Gardens is the second state-of-the-art Continuing Care Retirement Community; its location will be Sunland Springs Village, also in Mesa. Farnsworth Development Company is actively pursuing feasibility studies and preliminary design ideas for Sunland Gardens. Sunland Gardens will offer its residents a host of services and amenities comparable to Farnsworth Gardens in Dreamland Villa. There will be independent living apartments, assisted living apartments, and apartments for those who need memory care assistance. Common spaces will be provided so that the residents can eat well, stay healthy through exercise, and make friends and lasting memories during their stay at Sunland Gardens. An estimated completion time has not been established yet.
